Want to Quit Smokeless Tobacco?

Here is a program fit for you that may be your last. My Last Dip is a Web-based smokeless tobacco cessation project made for those who want to Quit chewing. This program is funded by a grant from the National Cancer Institute. This program was developed especially for smokeless tobacco users ages 14 to 25 years.

OR TRY Try BACC-OFF, a cessation product that may help in the process of trying to Quit using smokeless tobacco.

Check out Rick Bender's personal fight from the use of spit tobacco.

Tobacco and Athletic Performance

  • Don’t get trapped. Nicotine in cigarettes, cigars, and spit tobacco is addictive.
  • Nicotine narrows your blood vessels and puts added strain on your heart.
  • Smoking can wreck lungs and reduce oxygen available for muscles used during sports.
  • Smokers suffer shortness of breath (gasp!) almost 3 times more often than nonsmokers.
  • Smokers run slower and can’t run as far, affecting overall athletic performance.
  • Cigars and spit tobacco are NOT safe alternatives.
