Operation June Bug Schedule of Events
June 12th, 13th, and 14th
June 12th
4pm - Contestant will be evacuated from 9th and River St. they will report to the EOC (Bomb Shelter) by 5:30.
7:30 pm - Contestants will be at the park to start their adventure off with a “Bond Fire”
June 13th
8 am - noon - The public is encouraged to listen to the discussion that encompasses Operation June Bug in its entirety. It will be in the basement at the hospital.
8:45 - The Think Tank at the elementary school on the Wash. St. Side
11:00 - in Multi-purpose room Jodi Butler will do a brief talk about the decon process
12:00 - City Park guest speaker for a presentation on basic first aid
1:30 - 5:00 - Amazing Race begins
2pm - 5pm - POD in the 4-H building at the fairgrounds. Participate in our “mock” clinic and receive medication (M&M’s) to an infectious agent. You can come to this portion of the exercise anywhere from the allotted time. It will only take about an hour.
6pm - BBQ Bonanza at the park by pool parking lot
7pm - Let the grills begin
8:30 pm - Fire side chat at the campsite at the park
June 14th
9am - Grocery Grab at the park (elementary gym for bad weather)
10am - Messenger RNA in the park
11:30 - PSA (public service announcement) in the park
12:30 - Brief discussion about communications
1:30 - Recovery room – The Final Frontier. Find out how your favorite contestant did and who takes home the $500.00
