Immunizations are offered to both adults and children at the Chouteau County Health Department, 1020 13th Street, Fort Benton, Montana

 

Immunizations are given for: (click on any disease for more information)

Chicken Pox - Varicella
Flu (in season)
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Human Papilloma Virus - Gardasil
Measles, Mumps and Rubella - MMR  
Meningitis - Menactra
Pneumonia - Pneumovax
Polio
Rotavirus - Roto
Shingles - Zostavax
Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis - Tdap

Recommended Schedule for ADULT Immunizations
Flu Vaccine - once a year during flu season (Oct - March)
Gardasil -- three shot series for females  9 - 26 years of age
Hepatitis A -- 2 shot series recommended for travelers to areas that have Hepatitis A and individuals who may become exposed to contaminated food or water
Hepatitis B -- 3 shot series recommended for individuals at high risk for exposure  to blood and body fluids
MMR -- usually not needed unless required
Pneumonia -- once in a lifetime after age 65
Td -- booster every 10 years
Tdap -- once in a lifetime for individuals 11 - 64 years of age
Zostavax -- once a lifetime after age 60

CHILDREN
Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents must bring the child's immunization record with them.  Walk-In Clinics are held every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Chouteau County Health Department office. No appointment is needed. No one will be denied immunizations due to the inability to pay.

It is recommended that you take your child to be vaccinated at the following times.
2 months - Pediarix, Hib, Prevnar, Roto
4 months - Pediarix, Hib, Prevnar, Roto
6 months - Pediarix, Prevnar, Roto, Hib
12-18 months - Hib, Dtap, MMR, Varicella, Hep A
24 months - Hepatitis A
4-5 years - Dtap, Polio, MMR,Varicella
11-12 years - Td Booster, Tdap Booster, Meningococcal, Gardasil

Annual flu vaccine for children 6 mos. and older every fall.

BIG SANDY
Immunization Clinics are offered the first Thursday of February, April, June, August, October and December, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  The clinic is held in the basement of the Big Sandy Hospital.
