The Communicable Diseases Program focuses on the prevention and control of communicable diseases in the county by:
bulletproviding public health information and updates on communicable diseases and conditions to health care professionals and county residents
bulletproviding some clinical, case management and referral services
bulletconducting surveillance and investigation of more than 70 reportable diseases
bulletanalyzing, interpreting and reporting information on communicable diseases
bulletpresenting educational programs to schools and community groups
